Applications for support under this grant should be affiliated with a recognized Family Support Organisation, Legal institution of non-government organization with existing research or programming capacity which will issue power of attorney to every applicant.
A maximum of two proposals will be considered for funding per applicant. Only one grant through this mechanism may be held by an applicant until the project has been completed. Grant applications that are made in partnership between non-government or research institutions and a private sector entity are not excluded, but the grant can only fund the Private sector, companies, Business,research and non-government institutions itself. Grants that are proposing work on behalf of UN Agencies will not be considered. All projects under this call should focus on the prevention of poverty caused by covid 19 in low and middle income persons in their countries mostly hite with covid 19.
Types of projects that may be supported through this call for proposals include:
Medical/ Health care, Agriculture,Small/ medium scale industrialization, creative art,Technology (ICT) and social media, Education establishment, Medium and small scale enterprises which will scale up of new or promising interventions, including formative research that will contribute to the design of poverty prevention interventions, Self-contained businesses, projects that are either stand alone or fit within a larger project which will build on, or support primary prevention of poverty,formative research studies,good feasibility studies should be carried out by any individual, group, companies, non governmental organisation.
The Family Support Organisation requests proposals for research and interventions or related activities that will contribute to the eradications/prevention of poverty in low and middle income persons in mostly affected covid 19 countries. Due to high levels of competition and limited funds available, the quality of the proposal submitted will determine success in your funding application. Applications from legally constituted institutions,companies, persons or organizations that have existing capacity, with high quality proposals are most likely to be successful in this category.
The Establishment,companies, business, persons supported under this grant should be for a maximum of 12months duration, with the expectation that the grant will cover all, or the majority of, the costs specified. The common characteristic of these grants is the provision of limited funding for a short period of time with a clear measurable outcome. Grants ranging maximum of USD 150,000 to 10,000,000 may be awarded. Any applications with requests exceeding this amount will not be considered.
